Conservative CNN Commentator Found Dead At Northern Virginia Home

Alice Stewart, a prominent Republican consultant and CNN political commentator, died over the weekend.

Stewart’s body was found outside in Northern Virginia after suffering a medical emergency. Authorities do not suspect foul play.

Stewart was 58. While the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, her passing has been widely mourned by colleagues, friends, and family, as the Daily Mail reports:

CNN anchor Jim Acosta said: ‘My heart is broken over the passing of our dear colleague Alice Stewart. We’ve been friends going back to the 2012 campaign. Alice was my friend and I loved her. RIP.’ Stewart was pictured on her own Instagram account on Friday, writing: ‘It’s always a sunny day when you can join the great Wolf Blitzer.’ She appeared to lead a relatively healthy lifestyle and only last month posted photos of her taking part in a 10 mile run, nicknamed the Cherry Blossom run, in Washington D.C. CNN’s Jessica Dean broke the news about their own political commentator just before 5:30pm on Saturday evening.

Highly respected for her sharp political insights, Stewart worked on five Republican presidential campaigns before joining CNN. This article originally appeared in American Liberty News. Republished with permission.
