Democrats Implode After Finding Out Trump Isn’t A Traitor

Just days after the 22-month investigation into collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign ended, Democrats are beginning to implode following the “nothing burger” of the century. In a Tuesday closed-door meeting with House Democrats, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-12) was attempting to quell the exasperation and irritability emanating from members of the liberal party after they found out that their president did not collude and coordinate with an enemy foreign power.

On Friday, Attorney General William Barr sent a four-page letter to Congress explaining that there was neither collusion nor coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Furthermore, Barr added, “After reviewing the Special Counsel’s final report…consulting with [Justice] Department officials, including the Office of Legal Counsel; and applying the principles of federal prosecution that guide our charging decisions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed…is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.”

President Trump declared the report a “total exoneration,” with many Republicans joining in to grab ammunition for yet another round of the war in Washington against the anti-Trump political left and the anti-Trump American media, in which, notably, the president has been victorious, both dramatically and consequentially.

Democrats, however, are failing to come to terms with White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which included 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witness interviews, and 675 days of rampant speculation.

Left-leaning representatives on the House Judiciary Committee have suggested that the panel would move to issue a subpoena for the Mueller report if Barr refuses to turn it over by April 2, with many expecting that the attorney general will send Congress a heavily-redacted version of the highly-anticipated report.

“We have not seen the report. We’ve only gotten a summary that was created by a man who was appointed by the president, who clearly said before his appointment that he didn’t believe a sitting president could be charged, if you will, with obstruction of justice,” said Congresswoman Val Demings (FL-10), Politico reports.

With dashed expectations, even if Democrats call Mueller and Barr into a congressional hearing, they will attempt to air out not what the truth is, but the continuation of what they believe is an antidote to a second term for President Trump.

For example, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-13) is asking lawmakers to sign on to her resolution calling on the Judiciary Committee to launch an impeachment inquiry.

Nevertheless, Pelosi, interestingly, is taking a seemingly pacifist view of the situation.

“Be calm. Take a deep breath. Don’t become like them. We have to handle this professionally, officially, patriotically, strategically,” Pelosi said, referring to Republicans.

“Let’s just get the goods,” she said of Mueller’s report.

What the reaction by Democrats to the report should tell the American people is that members of the liberal left are so ideologically removed from reality, they actually think it is a bad thing that the president is not a traitor. The fact that Trump’s absolution of wrongdoing is causing disappointment and not celebration within the Democratic Party is shocking, but, unfortunately, not surprising.
