GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has announced two campaign stops that are scheduled to take place in Virginia this week.
Thursday, February 29th (not a typo, as this year is a leap year), Haley will make a lunchtime campaign stop at The Westin in Richmond at 12:30 PM. That evening, she will also make a stop in Northern Virginia at The Westin Tysons Corner at 7:30 PM.
In a text message by her campaign Saturday afternoon, Haley’s team encouraged turnout for the event, stating the following:
“You have a choice this election. Do you want four more years of the chaos and drama of the past, or do you want to move forward with a new generation of conservative leadership?
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from Nikki about her plan to make America strong and proud before you vote on March 5!”
The message came mere hours before Trump trounced Haley in the primary in her home state of South Carolina that night, picking up 47 of the state’s 50 primary delegates. Haley took home 298,674 votes in raw vote totals, and Trump tallied 451,905 votes, per the Associated Press.
