Alina Habba, attorney for former President Donald Trump, issued a sharp rebuke to former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) following his critical remarks about Trump during the Democratic National Convention. Habba’s comments were made during a recent appearance on Newsmax, where she strongly condemned Kinzinger’s actions and called on him to “sit the hell down.”

“I am sick and tired of this fake nonsense. Sit the hell down. It’s enough. I am literally baffled by what I’m seeing,” Habba declared, expressing her frustration over Kinzinger’s continued criticism of Trump.

Before Vice President Kamala Harris took the stage at the convention, Kinzinger, a former Trump supporter who had gained prominence as a rising star within the GOP, delivered a prime-time speech. In his remarks, he criticized the former president and condemned his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol assault. Kinzinger was notably appointed to the select committee investigating the events of that day.

Habba dismissed Kinzinger’s criticism, referring to his speech as a “career killer” and expressing her lack of concern regarding his stance on the Jan. 6 assaults.

“I am voting you off the island because you are worse than a RINO. You are pathetic, and the only weak person I see is somebody who needs to tout their service to this country only when they want to betray it, and I’m not having it,” Habba stated, taking direct aim at Kinzinger’s character.

Continuing her critique, Habba suggested that Kinzinger’s speech might signal the end of his political career. “So, while he’s sending out emails asking for money, I can assure you he’ll be looking for a job very soon,” she added.

Habba also questioned the significance of Kinzinger’s placement in the lineup of speakers before Harris, implying that it reflected the strength of her campaign.

“Let’s be objective, America. Before Kamala Harris took the stage, OK, it wasn’t Michelle Obama, Barack Obama. It wasn’t her vice president. It wasn’t her husband. It was a Republican. That’s the best she could do,” Habba concluded.
