Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano, a 34-year-old illegal immigrant, has been charged in connection with the brutal murder of a family in Irondequoit, a suburb of Rochester, New York. Pimentel Soriano, who is reportedly wanted for a 2019 murder in his native Dominican Republic, is accused of illegally entering the United States through Puerto Rico using a fraudulent New York ID.
The victims – Fraime Ubaldo, 30, Marangely Moreno-Santiago, 26, and their two young children, Evangeline, 4, and Sebastian, 2 – were found dead in their home on Aug. 31. After the murders, the house was set on fire. Irondequoit Police Chief Scott Peters described the deaths as a “horrific” massacre but has not yet provided specific details about the killings.
Pimentel Soriano was arrested on Saturday.

Soriano is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail without bail, according to jail records.
Peters did not disclose the manner of death in which the family of four were killed but has said it was not the result of the fire. Peters said he could not share further details about the homicide since it remains an active investigation in which officers are searching for additional people “wanted in connection with the incident.”
