Trump’s Former Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli has launched a political action committee, encouraging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to enter the 2024 presidential race.
In the launch video for the PAC, Cuccinelli highlights several successes DeSantis has achieved during his time serving as Florida’s governor. These include “defending parental rights, defending freedom and defending the unborn.”

Cuccinelli announced the launch of the NEVER BACK DOWN PAC during an appearance on “America’s Newsroom” Thursday morning:

Prior to his time in the Trump administration, Cuccinelli served as Virginia’s attorney general and was also previously a Virginia state senator.
DeSantis is widely considered the strongest potential challenger to Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential primaries.
After winning reelection by 19 points, he’s assumed an even more prominent position in the Republican Party.
One that’s included taking stances on issues typically outside of the purview of America’s governors, as American Liberty News has reported:
Amid his nationwide tour, DeSantis told “Fox & Friends” what he thought of the United States’ considerable aid to Ukraine.
