Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has some strong words for Senator Dianne Feinstein and the other Democratic obstructionists — and McConnell isn’t mincing words anymore.
“If our Democratic colleagues keep up this current rate of obstruction, only allowing about one confirmation every three-and-a-half days, it will take the Senate almost 11-and-a-half years to confirm the remaining presidential appointments that must come before us,” said McConnell. “Let me repeat that. At this rate, it would take us nearly 11-and-a-half years to confirm the remaining presidential appointments.”
The alternative? The nuclear option… one that would push through all of the Trump nominees in an instant, not to mention set the precedent for when federal judges come up in the agenda.
