Miyares Visits Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Tidewater During Fundraising Drive

Pro-life CPCs have been under attack in the wake of the Dobbs ruling. Miyares joins state attorneys general in helping those who help mothers and their babies.

There are few things the abortion industry hates more than pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) — if for no other reason than it strikes at the heart of two narratives, that abortion in necessary in a loveless world, and that pro-lifers aren’t actually pro-life and just pro-birth.

No small wonder then that domestic terrorists have been targeting both PRCs with firebombs and violence while organizations such as Planned Parenthood go the legal route in making sure the only “choice” available to women is the violence of an abortion.

Last week, Virginia AG Jason Miyares toured the Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Tidewater just in time for the SBA List’s HerPLAN fundraising drive this week from June 20th to June 24th:

“Crisis Pregnancy Center charities go above and beyond to help women during challenging times in their life. They provide medical services, counseling, housing, job services, parenting classes and necessary items like clothes and diapers to help new mothers in their communities. Unfortunately, these charities have been the target of political violence and hate. As Attorney General, I am committed  to supporting these charities and the vulnerable women they serve.” said Attorney General Jason Miyares.

In recognition of the critical role pregnancy center charities play in our communities and remembering last year’s vandalism against Virginia pregnancy centers after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling, Attorney General Miyares and Virginia’s pro-life community are participating in a multi-state donation drive for SBA HerPLAN — Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network — to support more than 60 pregnancy resource centers across the U.S. from June 20th-24th.

The Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC) of Tidewater is not part of the SBA HerPLAN network, but they work in conjunction with the network in Virginia. They serve pregnant women in multiple locations in South Hampton Roads. CPC has been serving women unprepared for pregnancy for more than 25 years, offering confidential services at no cost, including options counseling, pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, abortion recovery, sexual health information, and parenting classes.

State by State; Community to Community; Heart to Heart

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch is leading the donation drive, and is joined by the Attorneys General of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Attorney General Miyares has been a fierce advocate of religious freedom.  Last year, AG Miyares sent a letter to Yelp opposing the company’s discrimination against crisis pregnancy centers in online consumer notices.

Consumer notice was applied to all crisis pregnancy centers but not to Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities. Yelp responded to the letter, backed down, and changed the language.

Pregnancy resource centers and crisis pregnancy centers have been under attack ever since the Dobbs decision, with over 90 churches targeted by violence and over 187 PRCs and CPCs targeted by domestic terrorist elements.

Organizations such as Planned Parenthood have promised to spend over $70 million influencing elections in 2023 and 2024, sharply defining Democratic candidates in Virginia and elsewhere.

Yet the hard work of pro-lifers cannot be understated. Too often, many people look to government for a solution to a problem — another program, a new law.

These pro-life Virginians are making their own impact by working directly with mothers who are looking for hope filled alternatives rather than subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s profit margins — whose so-called “non-profit” executives are some of the highest paid in the nation according to a new report.

Of course, all these CPCs and PRCs have is you.

. . .AND MILLIONS OF OTHER PRO-LIFE VIRGINIANS JUST LIKE YOU.

Just $10 pays for a thing of diapers. Believe me, babies can burn through a set of diapers in a matter of DAYS. Your $10 gift just might be the dirtiest — but most loving — $10 you have ever given.

BUT IT COULD CHANGE ONE WORLD

But only if you click on the link above and help these babies GROW!
