Obama Rides To Northam’s Rescue With $500K Redistricting Pledge

Is there anything left for Northam to sell?

The Washington Post reports that embattled Democratic nominee Ralph Northam has consented to take a $500K campaign donation for… non-partisan redistricting reform:

The contribution from the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) is part of its mission to end Republican advantages in congressional and legislative redistricting after the 2020 U.S. Census.

The group, formed in January and led by former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., aims to elect more Democrats to statehouses and governor’s mansions so they can expand their influence when it comes to redrawing districts.

Virginia’s next governor will be in a position to sign or veto redrawn districts in 2021, shaping politics in the swing state for the next decade.

The number of posts and positions that Northam has gambled away as of this moment is alarming to say the least.  LCV donations in exchange for opposition to offshore drilling, Planned Parenthood donations in exchange for state funding guarantees, out-of-state billionaires pumping in cash for wacky environmentalist projects… and now this?

What’s left, Ralph?
