Sears Sees Hope As Dems Starting to Vote Republican

Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears recently joined “Fox and Friends” to discuss the Virginia GOP primary results, and how the GOP has been gaining ground in Virginia by “bringing back common sense.”

Sears joined Fox to celebrate the historic win of Prince William County Supervisor Yesli Vega, who is the GOP nominee to challenge Representative Abigail Spanberger (D-VA-07), and State Senator Jen Kiggans (R-Virginia Beach) who is the GOP nominee to face Representative Elaine Luria (D-VA-02).

Sears goes on to explain that Republicans are gaining momentum in the historically blue state because an increasing number of Democrats are crossing over and supporting the GOP’s common-sense policies. She told “Fox & Friends First” Tuesday that the November midterms will reflect that trend

Democrats have understood that their children weren’t learning. And it’s one thing to like a political party, but when it comes to your child, that’s a whole different ballgame. And so we couldn’t have won if Democrats had not crossed over and supported us because they had confidence in us that we would bring common sense back. And that’s what you’re going to see in November, because all of this that’s around us. It’s ridiculous.

The full interview can be viewed here, where she also discusses her excitement for the future for the state, praise the other candidates for a well run race, and discuss how she sees more and more Democrats voting Republican to turn the state from blue to red.
