Harris’ Few Wins
But don’t count Harris out just yet. She’s holding her ground in a couple of places:
- Minnesota: Harris 44%, Trump 41% (remember, no Republican presidential nominee has won here since Nixon in ’72)
- Wisconsin: It’s a nail-biter with both tied at 44%
Outperforming Joe With a Few Exceptions
The poll also highlights that Harris is doing slightly better than Biden did in some states like Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina. However, she’s trailing behind his numbers in Florida and Michigan and matching his performance in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Overall, the RealClearPolitics polling average indicates that Trump has a 1.7-point lead over Harris nationally. On the day Biden dropped out, Trump had an average lead of 3.1 points nationally.
Despite Harris’ rise thanks to a reinvigorated Democratic Party base, the overall picture remains pretty consistent – Trump is maintaining a steady lead. This race is heating up, and it’s anyone’s game, but Trump’s supporters have a lot to be optimistic about, provided they don’t get complacent!
Stay tuned, stay engaged and let’s keep the momentum going! Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments. What’s your take on the latest poll results? Do they check out with what you’re seeing on the ground?
