Virginia Elementary School Staff Member Arrested, Suspected of Sexually Assaulting Multiple Children

Jonathan George Skocik, a staff member at John Jenkins Elementary School in Woodbridge was arrested Friday after an investigation by police and Child Protective Services found him to be suspected of sexually assaulting several children at the school.

According to a report from Fox News, Skocik was removed last month during the investigation, where it was revealed that he, the school’s IT specialist, sexually assaulted four known victims while on school grounds. The victims, all 8-year-old girls, all reported being inappropriately touched by Skocik to a teacher, who then informed the school administration and the authorities.

Following the investigation, the police issued a warrant for his arrest and he was in custody later that same day. He is facing four counts of aggravated sexual assault and four counts of indecent liberties by a custodian.

While he is currently being held without bond, hopefully, they throw the entire rulebook at him. For context, and according to Virginia law, a single case of aggravated assault is a class six felony, which means it carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a maximum fine of up to $2,500.00. There is also a mandatory minimum punishment of six months in jail. Multiply that by at least four, and add in the second charge of indecent liberties by a custodian, then this disgusting person should be in jail for a very long time.
