Virginia’s 2018 Midterm Election Results

Virginians voted in races for Senate, Congress, a House of Delegates special election, a slew of local races, and two constitutional amendments on Tuesday, November 6. In one of the most consequential midterm elections in a generation, many saw today as a referendum on the first two years of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Below are the results from tonight’s election, which will be updated until 100 percent is counted following returns from the Virginia Department of Elections. *Last updated at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 7*

Article X. Taxation and Finance. Section 6-A. Property tax exemption for certain veterans and their surviving spouses and surviving spouses of soldiers killed in action.

“Shall the real property tax exemption for a primary residence that is currently provided to the surviving spouses of veterans who had a one hundred percent service-connected, permanent, and total disability be amended to allow the surviving spouse to move to a different primary residence and still claim the exemption?”
