VA-10 Nominee Hung Cao Champions American Dream In Fox News Appearance

Virginia’s 10th District Republican Nominee Hung Cao recently appeared on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom with host Bill Hemmer to share how crucial his race is to taking back a Republican majority in the United States House of Representatives this fall.

During the course of the segment, Cao shared his main reasons for running for office this year, after concluding a 25-year military career as a Special Operator in the United States Navy in 2021.

Cao told Hemmer that witnessing the fall of Kabul, Afghanistan was what inspired him to run for office because he found himself asking “what was it all for” after seeing the Taliban regain power within a matter of months following the military withdrawal.

As a first-generation immigrant from Vietnam, Cao also didn’t hesitate to draw parallels between what he saw in his home country with the fall of Saigon after the United States withdrew its military from the country and communist influences took back power.

Further reasons that Cao shared for running were that “the economy is in shambles” and the Biden team keeps “doubling down on bad policies.”

Virginia’s 10th congressional district has a Partisan Voter Index (PVI) of D+6 from the Cook Political Report.
