A Democrat candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates has been caught posting strange videos on the internet … once again. Jessica Anderson, who is running against House Majority Caucus Chair Amanda Batten in the 71st District this fall achieved a new level of notoriety today when a video of her urinating on the ground during what appears to be a run was reposted by the Libs of Tiktok account on X, formerly Twitter.
The video was initially posted by Anderson to her own TikTok account under the handle “crazymotherrunner”.
This is not the first strange video that Anderson has posted of herself online.
The Virginia Project also reposted another video earlier this week of Anderson wearing a tinfoil hat and taking shots of alcohol during a livestream.
Of course, we also can not forget about another video that Anderson blessed the internet with where she dressed up in a giant inflatable eggplant costume and danced around while lipsynching the song “I’m Too Sexy”.
Unlike with the videos posted by another Virginia Democrat this cycle, there is not really a question of legality with Anderson’s actions; there is of course the question of mental capability. Do the voters of the 71st District really want a representative with such poor judgment?
Earlier in 2023 Virginia Democrat Suzanna Gibson came underfire for posting adult content online and using “tips” for various explicit acts as donations to her political campaign. The uncovering of Gibson’s video spurred backlash and prompted her campaign to lose endorsements, even leading to her campaign endorsement page being hidden from public view. Will Anderson face a similar fate?
Do the likes of Congresswoman Abigail Spanbeger, former House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn, and Delegates Dan Helmer, Marcia Price, Mike Mullin, and Shelly Simonds really back someone with such a lack of competent decision-making skills, and want to serve with her in the Virginia General Assembly?
With just a handful of days remaining before the election next Tuesday, it remains to be seen if the voters of District 71 will choose a well-respected representative who has a history of levelheaded decision-making in Delegate Amanda Batten, or if they will check their judgement at the door.
