But in truly altruistic fashion, Winsome Sears used part of her day to remind Democrats about her commitment to charity and why blocking Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s picks for the state parole board will now make it harder for Virginians striving to redeem themselves.
Sears was referring to the Senate Democrats petty decision to torpedo an otherwise routine resolution approving Youngkin’s appointees. They even admitted their vindictiveness amounted to nothing more than retribution for House Republicans partially blocking their agenda.

“This is not how things are suppose to run,” a visibly disappointed Sears concluded.
As TRS noted Thursday, “Youngkin still has the ability to make new appointments to the parole board once the General Assembly session ends. However, he cannot renominate candidates that the legislature has rejected.”
