After calling for Governor Ralph Northam’s resignation following the release of a racist photo just two months ago, Fairfax’s Democratic State Senator Dave Marsden is now featuring him as the headliner of his fundraiser.
“Garrison brings a fresh conservative perspective to our party, and will run a robust campaign, centered around ideas, that will solve the challenges individuals and families in our Commonwealth face,” Speaker Cox said.
At least six Republican delegates would be running in districts where a majority of voters chose President Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election.
“In this time of great division, we have proven that when we work together we can achieve great things,” Republican Carrie Coyner said in announcing her candidacy for the House of Delegates.
GOP mass meeting scheduled to take place at the Fairfax Christian School at 22870 Pacific Boulevard in Dulles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19 to nominate a candidate for the 86th House District special election on February 19.
