“The time has come to finish the budget. Our teachers, local school boards, and local governments are waiting to craft their budgets…This delay adds unnecessary uncertainty and is a disservice to the people of the Commonwealth,” said Speaker Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights).
Until humans can achieve complete altruism, wherein decisions are made for the good of others and solely for the good of others, we will still have to deal with the nature of violence and the decisions of others to perpetuate it — even if it has some sinister benefit within.
After Democrats have been screaming “IMPEACHMENT” at the top of their lungs since the beginning of President Donald Trump‘s first term in office, Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe appeared on CNN’s New Day to warn the opposition party of their hastily-organized tactics. He appeared with host Chris Cuomo to discuss his new book To End a Presidency: The Power of Impeachment and told anti-Trumpites that, “Democrats shouldn’t be rushing down the road of impeachment.”
In a report from Mediaite, Tribe explained that the impeachment is not about “garden variety crime,” but “abusing the authority that we give to high officials like the president.”
The law professor went on to give numerous examples for which Trump could be impeached: like failing to protect American citizens or wholeheartedly fixing the presidential election. Though, he also said tax evasion, while it is a crime, is not an impeachable offense.
Tribe goes on to explain that the Democrats cannot keep screaming about high crimes when there have been none committed. For him, the notion of impeachment is not something to be thrown around, disregarding the actually definition and cause.
He said impeachment, “will be available only if we don’t use it loosely, and ring the bell every time something looks amiss.
“You can’t be the boy who cried wolf and have a viable impeachment power. You can’t use it over and over again against the same president,” he explained.
“If you’re going to shoot him, you have to shoot to kill,” Tribe said, interestingly. “And that requires an overwhelming majority of a bipartisan kind. Otherwise you’re just going to nick the guy, and make him feel empowered and vindicated.”
Unfortunately, for Democrats, Tribe has revealed a sad political trend. In just under two years, the left has let their distrust and hatred of one man cloud their judgement and logical capability.
In the end, it is the Democrats who are out of touch with the people and reality, in general.
