Donald Trump Handily Wins Virginia Republican Primary

America’s 45th President Donald Trump has won the presidential preference primary which took place in the Commonwealth of Virginia on Tuesday, March 5th.

14 other states and American Samoa also held primary elections today. As of 9:30 PM EST on Tuesday, March 5th, Donald Trump has one every single race called thus far.

Trump was one of 6 Republicans on the ballot today in the Commonwealth, along with Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley,
Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and Ryan Binkley. All but Haley suspended their campaigns before Super Tuesday.

Results are still pending full certification, but Trump appears to have won over 60% of primary voters, with Haley taking home just about 30%. Trump beat Haley in most regions of the state, although the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax County heavily favored Haley, as did the City of Richmond and the County of Albemarle, which is home to Charlottesville and the University of Virginia.
