John Adams continues to impress, and we mean that sincerely. From day one, Adams has continued to be a quiet, steady hand on the wheel — no bombast, no flames.
Just himself.
That genuine approach to politics is impressing others, and it has landed Adams one of the most solid endorsements of the campaign from the Virginia Police Benevolent Association:
“We need an attorney general who will take public safety seriously and be a steadfast partner with our members – the thousands of police officers who put their lives on the line each day to keep Virginia safe. That is why we are supporting John Adams this year. John’s background in public service as a Naval officer and federal prosecutor has prepared him to effectively lead on public safety from the attorney general’s office. We look forward to working closely with him as our next attorney general.”
More significantly? The Virginia PBA endorsed Mark Herring over Mark Obenshain in 2013 — a significant sea change in a Virginia environment that is supposed to be leaning the Democrats way.
For John Adams to have picked up such an endorsement should be a sign that Adams — much like the rest of the GOP ticket — is a far stronger candidate than the media would have us believe.
