Former Virginia Beach prosecutor, Delegate, and candidate for Attorney General Jason Miyares today announced the hire of Klarke W. Kilgore as his campaign manager.
Kilgore is a veteran of Virginia politics and joins the campaign after serving as Deputy Associate Director in the White House Office of Political Affairs for President Donald Trump.
“I’m pleased to welcome Klarke Kilgore as our team’s campaign manager” said Delegate Miyares. “He brings a wealth of experience fighting for conservative causes in Virginia and across America. I’m excited to have him join this campaign to restore conservative leadership back to Richmond for a safe and secure Commonwealth.”
For the majority of 2020, Kilgore has served the White House Office of Political Affairs as the Deputy Associate Director. Before that, he worked in the White House Presidential Personnel Office as Deputy Director of Appointments.
In both positions, he worked to enact the agenda of President Trump in the areas of political affairs, legislative implementation, and federal agency hires.
Kilgore started his government career working in the Capitol Hill office of Congressman Morgan Griffith, who represents Southwest Virginia and the 9th Congressional District.
Kilgore graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and served as a leader with the College Republicans on campus.
Most notably, Kilgore has the added advantage and distinct honor of being born in Southwest Virginia and raised in Richmond.
