Democratic Attorney General Mark “Red” Herring is the one last remaining hope as national Democrats begin salvaging at least one statewide race in Virginia.
Remarkably positive start from an Adams campaign that continues to impress — and quite the contrast from a panicked Herring that knows he has screwed up.
Herring has now shifted the conversation away from Confederate memorials and towards Democratic abuse of office in pursuit of a narrow political agenda.
Most significant? The Virginia PBA endorsed Herring over Cuccinelli in 2013 — a sea change in a Virginia environment supposedly leaning the Democrats way.
